This class is drivin' me bananas!

Well, once again I am falling behind on the blog posting it seems.  I did not realize that the Rhetoric and Composition class I am currently taking is an accelerated class... Or it would seem to be that is.  Had I known that it was going to be at such a high tempo assignment wise I would not have chosen the course.  Having school full time and juggling 4 other classes other than this one has been a huge strain on the brain.  There are more assignments and due more often than all of my other classes combined and I really cant wait for it to finally be over with in one month.  This class really needs to be a normal 3 month class because it would seem I have four different things due this week and Im supposed to also submit my mid-term. Does anybody else feel my pain?

  1. this class is absolutly too time consuming. I have 3 other classes and work 50 hours a week. I am up until all hours of the night trying to complete these assignents that all seem to be due at the same time. I am falling behind in all areas of my life. This class id very frustrating...

  2. I understand how you feel. I am taking four other classes besides this one too and at times it can be overwhelming. Especially sine I am about to move next week, and I don't know for sure if I will have internet available to me right when I move in. Very stressful.

  3. I feel your pain. I am a week behind in one of my other classes because I have been trying to keep up in this class and also work full time. Will October 20, 2010 ever get here?

  4. Same thing happened to me, when I signed up for this class I thought that this is going to be a 16 week class. I did not really pay attention to the end date, and after we started the class around third week I saw that this is actually a eight week class. I am really overwhelmed with three other difficult classes such as physics, chemistry and programming.

    Good luck to you all,

  5. Dear Michael,

I felt the same agony and frustration for a few weeks and missed many assignments. This is my standard phrase when I write to my instructor, Ms. Cone, "that am sorry for submitting it late."

This accelerated Rhetoric and Composition course is really forcing me to finish the assignments for the sake of it. I wanted to put my heart into it, but because of the time constraint, I just submit it, which I do not want. I am taking few other classes at Triton and find little time for those subjects. I love this subject and wanted to do it with passion, but I just submit it for the sake of it because of lack of time.

This accelerated course is not for me. Though I got a hang of this fast-track of course now, I decided to drop the Rhetoric & Composition II, which starts after this. I wanted to do my subjects with my heart and as this is forcing me to submit, I decided not to do it.

  6. I am totally agree with you, it s really hard for me to keep up in this class , and take three other classes besides this one, and being a mom of 2-years-old boy! But I believe on myself and I will persist until I succeed.

  7. I know what you mean. There is a lot of work that we have to do especially now, since it is a last week of the class..
